Advocacy Projects
“Light our City Orange”
The advocacy campaign “Zonta Says NO to Violence Against Women” was launched in 2012.
To raise awareness of the global pandemic of women’s rights violations and has united Zonta clubs worldwide in conducting impactful advocacy actions to fight violence against women and gender inequality.
Our Club jointly facilitates an Advocacy Walk during the Zonta International 16 Days of Activism campaign from 25th November - 10th December.
Zonta Brisbane Sunrise and other District Clubs participate in the Advocacy Walk - Call of Action To Stop Violence Against Women and Girls.
The Walk commences at King George Square and goes past key landmarks that are illuminated in orange, Brisbane City Hall, City bridges and the Old Treasury Building.
